SEEND EXTEND LEAD AT THE TOP TO 9 POINTS

With their closest challengers in A&B Cup action, Seend United FC took the opportunity to stretch their lead to Bradford Town Reserves FC at the top of the Gooding Accounts Ltd sponsored-Trowbridge & District Football League, First Division to 9 points after they defeated Heytesbury & Codford 4-0.

Bradford Reserves may have 3 matches in hand on Seend, but with the points on the board, Andy Dyer’s side will be well pleased after their latest showing that saw a James Cox goal give them a 1-0 half time lead.

After the break Seend applied the afterburners as they bagged 3 unanswered goals, Joe Lamb doubled the lead, Richard Hudson made it 3-0 and Jack Woolsgrove wrapped up was Seend’s eighth win in 10 outings


Melksham Town Development FC 4 FC Devizes United 1 

MELKSHAM WRAP UP DEVIZES DOUBLE

Melksham Town Development who defeated FC Devizes United 2-1 at the start of the month completed a double over the First division strugglers thanks to a 4-1 success.

Goals from Olly Clarke and a first for the team for Jake Dodge gave Melksham Development a 2-0 half time lead.

Aron Byfield scored from the penalty spot to make it 3-0 a thunderbolt bolt from Morgan Akerman into the top corner saw the hosts take a 4-0 lead before Jordan Anning grabbed a late consolation for Devizes.


Bromham FC 2 Warminster Town Reserves FC 4   

WARMINSTER SEE OFF BATTLING BROMHAM

Bromham FC remain rooted to the foot of the Gooding Accounts Ltd sponsored-Trowbridge & District Football League, First Division table after they suffered a 4-2 home loss to Warminster Town Reserves which came a week after Bromham were unable to raise a side to play the same opponents.

Goals from Reece Collyer and Ashley Kinkead gave Warminster a 2-0 lead which was halved before half time thanks to a Archie Green effort for the hosts.

Bromham got themselves level in the second period, thanks to a second of the afternoon from Green, unfortunately for the villagers they were unable to hold on to what they had as Jake Owen reclaimed the lead for Warminster and a Cooper Brooks goal restored their two goal margin which was enough to see them over the winning line.
