Having put themselves in with a great chance of beating Freshford United to the Gooding Accounts sponsored Trowbridge & District League Second Division title, Hilperton Greyhound came up just short as a 3-3 with Trowbridge Town Tigers on the penultimate weekend of the season saw them hand the title to Chris Birleson’s side who themselves will be mighty relieved to have got over the winning line after thinking they had blown their owns chances towards the end of the season.

With just a couple of Spring Cup Group Stage matches to go, the competition which was in danger of non completion a few weeks ago, is now back on track and should now be played to a finish.
A 4-1 victory for Hilperton Greyhound away at Calne Eagles has seen them close the gap on Division Two leaders Freshford United, with two matches remaining, Darren Brewer’s side now if they can pick up maximum points from both games they will claim the title.
With Seend United returning to the top of the Spring Cup Group table, they will have to see if it will be them of Frome Collegians Reserves who will get the free passage to the Semi-Finals. With the final standings, stating to take shape, the current quarter-final lines may yet change depending on the final set of results.
