FC DEVIZES UNITED PROGRESS IN JUNIOR CUP
FC Devizes United may not be having the best of seasons in the Gooding Accounts Ltd sponsored-Trowbridge & District Football League, however they made the most of some respite from League action as a trip to Hellenic League Division Two Central side Highworth Town Reserves reaped dividends as they emerged triumphant 5-3 winners in their delayed Wiltshire Junior Cup clash.
Devizes were 4-0 up at the break and although Highworth rallied in the second half, it wasn’t enough as goals from Zac Baskerville and Jack Brain who both netted doubles and Rowan Anning set up a meeting with last terms beaten finalists D.I United in the next round.
