Gooding Accounts sponsored Trowbridge League Division Two, leaders Durrington FC had to dig deep as they came back from a 2-0 deficit away at Trowbridge Wanderers FC to claim a 2-2 draw that saw them preserve their unbeaten league record.
Going into the match having won all 10 of their league games, Durrington fell behind to Nick Mead’s 29th minute opener for Wanderers who then doubled their advantage on 33 minutes, Lincoln Collings setting up Lewis Howe who made it 2-0.
Tyler Pavey cut the deficit for Durrington when he slotted home in the 37th minute and it was Pavey who earned the visitors to Lambrok Road their share of the spoils when he restored parity on 76 minutes.

DEPLEATED STAVERTON BEATEN BY AVON VALLEY
Avon Valley FC remain in third place in the standings following a 3-0 home triumph against a very depleted Staverton Rangers FC who at one point in the week looked as if they wouldn’t be able to raise a team for the trip to Salisbury.
The damage was done in the first 45 minutes, Tristan Jones scored Avon Valley’s opener which was followed by a brace for Jamie Hinton to give the hosts a 3-0 interval lead, which was how it stayed until the final whistle.

BACK TO BACK WINS FOR CANNINGS
Both Bishops Cannings Reserves FC and Trowbridge Town Tigers FC arrived at Green Lane, Devizes looking for back-to-back victories. Cannings who had left it late last week before beating South Newton & Barford Hornets came out on top in this match with a convincing 5-1 triumph.
Cannings led after 5 minutes via a David Mountford goal after being assisted by Lewis Hawkins.
Trowbridge Tigers were back on level terms, 3 minutes later, Lewis Harford scoring to make it 1-apiece.
David Monthford turned provider on 30 minutes when he set up Ethan Howard to reclaim the lead for the hosts, which is how it stayed until the break.
Cannings extended their advantage in the 64th minute, Sam Helps coming off the bench to make it 3-1 from a William Cook assist.
Two goals in the final few minutes, finally put the game to bed, Ethan Howard setting up Bailey Penney for 4-1 before Hawkins claimed his second assist of the afternoon to find Lewis Hiscock who netted Cannings final goal of a 5 Star performance.

PILOT PAY THE PENALTY
Another strong home performance on Saturday from Calne Athletic aided by two penalties conceded saw them beat Pilot FC for the second week in a row, this time, with a further improved 6-0 scoreline.
TDFL Division 2 Top Goalscorer, Ewan McConnachie was given a chance from 12 yards early on and he duly converted the penalty to make it 1-0.
Set-Pieces have been a strong source of goals for Athletic this season so there was no surprise when Oli Andresen rose highest to double the lead with a header from a corner.
The second of the two penalties was conceded before half time with McConnachie successful once again for a 3-0 halftime lead.
After the break, McConnachie was at it once again and scored his third & fourth goals of the match, taking him up to 19 League Goals for the season.
There was still time for Spencer Smart to join the party with a late wonder strike to make it 6-0.
Although the hefty scoreline is extremely positive, Manager John McConnachie was extremely happy with another solid defensive performance resulting in another clean sheet.
South Newton & Barford Hornets FC 0 Bromham FC 5
AWAY DAY JOY FOR BROMHAM & BEATTIE
South Newton & Barford Hornets FC suffered a 5-0 defeat at home to Bromham FC to leave them firmly rooted to the foot of the table, while the win for Bramham will see them climb up the table and with games in hand on the teams above, may yet see the villagers force their way into the race for a top two finish.
Ben Child gave Bromham the lead which was doubled by a first of the contest from Tyler Beattie which gave the visitors a 2-0 interval advantage.
Tyler Beattie’s second of the afternoon made it 3-0, it was 4-0 thanks to a Frank Mubutu effort and with the game all but over Beattie was on hand to claim his well deserve treble and seal Bromham’s 5-0 victory.
